Rosie Milner
Positive psychology researcher, University of East London

Rosie Milner read philosophy at Camridge University and was a student in the first cohort of Europe’s first Masters course in Applied Positive Psychology – the science of well-being – at the University of East London.

Rosie has worked as a think tank research fellow and in the charitable sector. Within Government she has advised on social and economic policies for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, Cabinet Office and Department for Communities and Local Government.

Rosie currently splits her time between the Department for Communities and Local Government, where she works as Community Empowerment Policy Team Leader, and the University of East London, where she is researching the relationship between the environment and well-being. She represents the Department for Communities and Local Government on the Young Foundation’s Well-being Advisory Board, on Defra’s Well-being Indicators Group, and is a member of Communities and Local Government’s Health and Well-being at Work Programme Board.

Outside of her work interests, Rosie pursues happiness through ashtanga yoga, her friends and working with her fiance on their allotment.
