With an emphasis on enterprising ideas for commerce, business and industry across Lancashire, this workshop will take a view on building the big society.

2) Getting the right treatment: what’s the antidote?
With a focus on health, social care and communities, this workshop intends to explore what the future could look like?

3) Big ideas, brighter futures: what are the pathways through participation?
This workshop includes identifying what’s the big society in action? What the opportunities are for knowledge transfer, participation, learning and skills?

- Managing the ‘risk’
4) Big on crime, big on safety, big on support: bringing policing closer to the people?
This workshop identifies issues around crime, community safety and support, looking at cross-sector working with a focus on the role of voluntary, community and faith organizations in solving issues at a local level.

- Domestic violence
- Victim support
- The role of ‘the community court’
