About the event

The coalition government’s ‘Big Society’ has massive implications on the Third Sector, but what are they? Why and when will they be taking effect, and what can we do to prepare?

With the new Government comes cultural social and economic changes, it is important that what used to be called the ‘Third Sector’ understands what impact this will have on our society in Lancashire.

Third Sector Lancashire are hosting a high profile event for a wide range of key organisations from the public, private, voluntary and community and faith sectors.

Four workshops will be taking place throughout the day, delivered by key figures in Lancashire to scope out potential changes in the county, along with a Q&A session. There will also be several keynote speakers throughout the day, who will be able to convey the real meaning of the ‘Big Society’.

The event will be hosted by BBC Northwest Tonight’s Dave Guest and includes a hot buffet lunch and refreshments.
